How you can help

Lab Rescue is operated entirely by volunteers’ dedicated Labrador enthusiasts who are
committed to the wellness and happiness of all animals.   If you are interested in becoming
a volunteer, please fill out the Volunteer Application below or email us if you require further
information at
volunteer@lab-rescue.ca.  One of our Volunteers will be in contact with you
soon.

All volunteers must be accepted by the board of directors prior to engaging in any Lab
rescue activities.
Volunteer: Our volunteers are active in the GTA, Ontario. The following are ways in which
you can help:
Foster Homes: We are always in need of warm loving foster homes. If you are interested
in helping one of our Labs transition into a new life, please see our foster page.

Evaluations and Home Visits (Observers): Lab Rescue needs people to assist in
evaluating dogs that are owner give-ups or shelter dogs before we will accept them into
our system. In addition, we need people to conduct home visits in connection with every
adoption.

Transporters: Help is required to transport dogs to and from vets, shelters, and foster
homes. Lab Rescue will reimburse mileage as required with appropriate approvals.  If you
would like to help please let us know.

Fundraising: We are always in need of help in fundraising. If you have experience as a
fundraiser for nonprofit organizations, we can use your help.

Veterinarian Recruiter: The Veterinarian Recruiter's immediate focus will be to search
for new veterinarians in Ontario who are willing to offer Lab Rescue reasonable prices and
availability for spay/neuters, medical treatment, and boarding.

Professionals: We require assistance with accounting, marketing, publicity, and printing
publications. We also need help with flyer circulation announcing special events -- posting
them (pet stores, veterinary clinics) and keeping them current.

WISH LIST: Lab Rescue always has a need for supplies for our foster families such as
crates, pens, child/dog gates, leashes, collars, water bowls or buckets and dog food.

We are a volunteer staffed, non-profit organization that is entirely dependent upon
donations! All contributions go directly to providing care for our rescued Labradors.
Through your generosity, Lab Rescue can help many deserving Labs find a loving new
home.

If you are interested in helping us in any of these ways, please contact Volunteer
Coordinator, at
volunteer@lab-rescue.ca or call our Lab Line at 289-997-5227 (LABS).
