| Meet DUCKY ... Words from his foster mom: Ducky is a sweet-natured, playful, loving young boy. It didn’t take long to fall in love with him and his zest for life. Ducky may have lymphedema, causing his back legs to be swollen, but it doesn’t stop him from living life to the fullest. He loves his canine foster sister and feline brothers and is always up for a good frolic. He has his moments where he is rambunctious and energetic putting a smile on my face as he runs with reckless abandon. In the evenings, he enjoys a quiet, calm wind-down. It’s common to have him stretched on the couch beside me or curled into my legs or across my lap. He flexes his front paws and makes happy sighs as he relaxes in comfort and security. He seems to need both his play time and his down time. In just a short time he has left massive paw prints on my heart. He’s had a rough go so far in his short life and he is worth and deserves so much more than this. He is a wonderful companion dog already. Ducky will provide so much love and in return he needs a savvy family to monitor his legs for infections or other changes. He’ll have your back and he in turn needs the same. |
DUCKY 21 weeks, Black, Male
Ducky is super sweet boy that is a total delight. He has wonderful house manners, does not chew on furniture, steal
socks, or shoes. He knows what toys are his and grabs one for a play time. He such an easy to train puppy as he is
quite intelligent and an easy learner. Potty training was a cinch! His favorite game is FETCH! He will play as long as you
can throw the ball. He is such a precious petite lab who has had a bit of a rough go of it so far in life. He was dropped
off at a shelter at the young age of 8 weeks with a condition called Lymphemdema (swelling of the joint- his back legs).
It is not known and can not be predicted if Ducky will ever have his swelling come down in his back legs but he isn't in
pain and acts like any other puppy his age. His mildly swollen legs do not hold him back at al! He is your typical happy go
lucky playful puppy with adequate age appropriate behavior.
DUCKY enjoys walks, a cuddle with the foster mom and hanging with his canine brother. He is currently living with cats
