MAGGIE 4.5 Years, Yellow Female 83 lbs
-Bring your own ray of sunshine into your home before the November and winter blues set in.
Maggie is looking for that special traveler to accompany her on her life's journey to be a good
dog. Our girl had a rough start in life and went from a pet store to a home where she wasn't
loved enough to be trained, exercised and helped to be a good canine citizen. Unfortunately,
Maggie packed on more pounds/kilograms than were good for her and she has been on a
slimming program as a result. Now.......well what a bombshell! Like many of us, though, weight
management will be a lifelong project. One day, Maggie woke up to find herself sore in one of
her legs so rescue got her ACL surgery done and she is making a good recovery but like many
labs, it's hard to keep this girl down so she doesn't overdo it.
Maggie is one of those dogs who needs to find her own family or person. She adores people
and is prepared to provide you with endless opportunities for belly rubs and snuggles 24/7.
She is also a gracious and generous hostess and loves to welcome people at the door. Did we
mention that she is available at any time for belly rubs for guests too? Maggie's idea of a great
time is to go riding in the car with her new person - careful though, she calls shotgun really fast.
Maggie is also enrolled in a continuous learning program and wants to learn whatever you
would like to teach her.
Our Maggie is a very sunny personality but is not poetry in motion (OK to be honest, she isn't at
all graceful, OK then well.....maybe she is clumsy........OK then........ she's clumsy) so kids aren't
a good idea unless they are teenagers over 15..
Because Maggie wants her special person/people to herself, she has asked to be the only pet
in the home. As a puppy she didn't learn to speak dog properly so long walks with you are her
thing....the dog park, not so much.
We all know that good things come to those who wait but our Maggie has been waiting for her
person/people for a really long time. Will you be the one to join her in a chorus of "I'll be home
for Xmas?"
Maggie
