Apollo

Hi Friends!

Apollo here! I’m a happy-go-lucky pup with a tail that never stops wagging!   I make fabulous eye contact when you speak to me and I think I might be forming sentences in human soon!  Just joking, dogs can't talk but we can communicate with you in other ways and I'm good at that. 

My perfect day includes a morning stroll to check the pee-mail and stretch my legs followed by my favourite chew. While you go off to do human things, I'll nap on the couch or my bed until you get home. Then I'm ready for some yard play and a walk, perhaps on a nature trail, followed by lounging in the cool grass and a lick mat.  At dinner time I enjoy my snuffle mat as extra mental stimulation. To top it off my perfect day we will have an evening stroll and couch cuddles while we catch up on some TV.  Somewhere in there I also get in some practice drills of my skills and earn those tasty treats and I'm bound to raid the toy box a time or two. You can bet I won't turn down a car ride, I LOVE those!

I’m respectful of the other dogs in my foster home, though I haven’t met any cats yet. I’m looking for an adult-only household where I can really thrive. I do best with structure, routine, and positive guidance. 

Right now, I’m walking up to 4 km and building my strength since my knee surgery a few months back. After my other knee is done, thanks to the generous donors of Lab Rescue, I’ll be ready to run and explore the world with you! 

Now, all I need is a family to continue the great work I'm doing with my foster and see me through to the other side of my second surgery. Don't worry, the rehab isn't difficult and the cost is covered- I just need compassion and patience, someone to give me a chance and we will be on to making memories in no time!!
