Canine olympics here I come!

Athena here. I’ll bet you haven’t met an Olympian.  Well, a soon to be canine Olympian, once they realize how awesome Canine Olympics would be!! I would win gold for speed and endurance in the game of fetch, on land or in water… water being my favourite!  But that’s not all I’m great at!

I’m great at learning. I went to obedience school and loved every second of it. You know those dogs who are really just there for the social time? - not me!  I love to please and don’t get me started on treats!  Have you ever met a Lab who didn’t love food?? Needless to say, I know my basics and my recall is pretty strong too. I love my walks though they have not been happening very often lately so when I do get out, I’m excited and ready to get going.

I’m a fantastic greeter  and take no time to warm up to new people. I’ll meet you at the door when you get home with a toy in my mouth while I do the wiggle dance waiting for a bum scratch.  I lean right in for all the love. 

I’m a smart girl who would like an active family to help keep my athletic physique. I’m a super cuddler and wouldn’t turn down a spot on the couch if offered. I’d like to be the only furbaby in my new home and I’m not interested in making canine friends. I’m more of a people dog. I would be best suited for older, dog-savvy children, if any. 

You could be my new bff if you have a large yard and a spot for me to swim occasionally…or regularly (a girl can dream) and enjoy some snuggle time at the end of a fun-filled day. So what do you think?  Should we get matching collars?
