Hi there, I’m Mabel!

I’m an outdoorsy, fun loving girl who’s looking for a mature family where I can be the only fur-baby-- the apple of your eye, so to speak. Let me tell you a little about myself!

First off, I adore my humans and want nothing more than to be by your side. I’m a people-dog through and through, and I make fast friends with everyone I meet. I’ll happily curl up on the couch for snuggles or lounge on my own bed when you’re busy. I’ve even been known to sneak into bed for cuddles, but I know I’ll need to earn your trust before we share that space.

I’m a suburban girl at heart and love having a fenced yard where I can explore safely but I also love a peaceful country setting too. Walks are a big part of my day, too—I love morning strolls around the neighbourhood before the hustle and bustle of the day starts, and longer evening adventures. I do great on a harness, though I’ll admit I get very excited when I see a squirrel or rabbit. With some training on recall and cues like “look” or “touch,” I’ll be an even better walking buddy.

Oh, and did I mention how much I love water? Pools, lakes, you name it—I’m all in (literally). I even know how to use a pool ladder! When I’m not splashing around, I love chasing sticks or balls, though I might turn fetch into a game of “catch me if you can” for a little extra fun.

I’d thrive in a home where I’m the only dog —I like being the center of attention. Big groups of dogs or leash-free parks aren’t for me either, but I’d enjoy one-on-one playdates with the right canine friend in time. 

I’m great in the car—just make sure the child locks are on, or I might roll the window down all the way to catch the breeze! Loud fireworks or gunshots however, are not my favourite causing me to tremble until it passes. A little extra love helps in this situation. 

I’m healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and ready to find my perfect match. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun, and water-loving girl who will shower you with love and devotion, I’m your girl!
