Hi Friends,
My name is Bentley and I am 9 yrs old. I am coming to lab rescue because my owners got a puppy and at first everything was fine. Now that he is grown we don't get along, and I get picked on because of it.
Medically, I am healthy. Even though I am getting older I don't seem to have any mobility issues just a bit slower than I used to be. I am allergic to grain so I am on a grain free diet which works really well for me. As you can tell by my weight I am a little on the heavy side. Well I mean I'm a lab it's my nature to love food but I understand that I will need to be on a diet in my new home.
In the house, I am fairly quiet and well behaved. I enjoy spending nice, warm days outside. I am used to living on a one acre property and will lay quietly in the sunshine as long as I can. When inside I love to snuggle up on the couch or bed (if you'll let me).
I love to go for walks, and I walk well on a flat collar. I like to sniff all the wonderful scents but enjoy meeting new friends as well.
I love to swim, and would love a family that has a pool, lake nearby or a cottage as I could swim all day long. I do well in the car, and don't mind a long drive.
I am used to living with a toddler and I believe that I am her personal body guard. I will follow her around, and lay nearby when she's playing.
I want to tell you something but it is a little embarrassing...I am afraid of thunder and fireworks. I don't know why I'm afraid but when I hear them I will curl right into your lap for comfort. I like having people nearby when it happens.
Overall, I am a good boy with a big heart and a lot of love to give. Do I sound like a match for you?
