My name is Manchester. You can call me Manny or Man for short. I'm 8 years old but don't let my silver chin fool you, I'm more like a young adult labbie. I've come to Lab Rescue because my owner is no longer able to care for me due to their physical limitations.
I'm great in the house and lounge around on the couch but love to be included in everything you are doing. My walks have been very limited but I must say, I'm pretty good at it once I get the initial excitement out. I even know a bunch of commands and tricks. Children over 12 years old would be best as I tend to be a bit clumsy when I get excited and might knock a wee one over.
I can be a nervous nelly while settling into my new home. A lot of my world has been turned upside down with this change which has left me feeling a bit insecure and wanting to be with you all the time. I would really like my new family to work on this with me. I know deep down everything will be okay but right now I'm accustomed to someone being with me 24/7. I also take a medication every day that helps a lot with my anxiety and this will need to continue long term.
My perfect family would be ones with respectful children who are home often to play with me and go for long walks. A place for me to swim regularly and a soft spot to land at the end of a fun filled day would be a dream come true for a sweet boy like me.
