Hi friends, my name is Maya and I have some sad news to share. I am being surrendered due to my family no longer being able to care for me. I have spent the majority of my life living outside so I am excited to know what it is like to sleep in a warm comfy doggy bed that these Lab Rescue people keep blabbering on about.
I am a sweet girl who is happy to meet everyone I meet whether it is humans or canines. I am happy and bouncy so I do have a tendency to jump on you when I am super excited. Have I told you how much I love fetch and tug of war? I could play for hours and hours.
Medically, I have had two litters of puppies. I have no mobility issues but get the occasional hot spots in the hot weather. I have never seen a vet so Lab Rescue is going to make sure I am all checked out and healthy before going to my new family.
I am good with both cats and dogs as I have lived with both. I have no possessive issues with food, water or toys. We all share and get along just fine.
In the house, I will try to be as good as possible. I am not used to living indoors so may need my new family to teach me the ropes. When I do get the chance to go inside I will go to the door if I need to go potty so I am potty trained.
I am used to being around older kids and am told I am great with them. I need a little bit of training so I do jump when I get excited so would do best in a home with a not so little one.
Please stay tuned as Lab Rescue gets to know me better.
