Hi Friends,
Thanks for checking out my page! My name is Doc and I am 9 years old. You are probably wondering why a sweet boy like me is coming to Lab Rescue. Well, as much as my owner doesn't want to say goodbye, her work hours are quite long and I am being left for long periods of time. Prior to being rescued by my family almost a year ago I came from a high kill shelter so I am so blessed to still be here.
Medically, I am healthy
When it comes to my house manners, I am very well behaved. I have full access whether my humans are home or not. I am not much of a barker either, and will just hang out in the house. When my family first got me I did have some anxiety and would chew objects. I did this for a short period of time until I became a bit more settled. Now I don't have any anxiety whatsoever.
I really enjoy the companionship of humans and can be described as super friendly. I enjoy lots of attention and snuggles so if you are looking for a dog to cuddle on the couch by the fire I am most definitely the lab for you. I am great with kids of all ages too.
When it comes to cats I have limited experience. I did one time stay with someone who owned a cat, and we got along fine.
I do like dogs but prefer females. Can you blame me? I am a total ladies man. With males and un neutered dogs I can be a bit more finnicky. I will growl and feel the need to protect myself sometimes. Once I meet a dog friend I am great, and we are friends for life. So I will need a family that understands this quirk about me.
Overall, I am a super sweet, loveable boy, that adores being with people. Do I sound like a match for you?
Love, Doc
