Hi There,

My name is Lora and I am a super sweet very petite yellow female who is around 4 years old.  The days have been long and uneventful BUT then I arrived in this chilly place called C..Ca.Cana...Canada, there, I got it!  Everything is new and strange to me but the kind family who is caring for me are showing me what life is like here for a Lab Rescue dog and I have to is looking much better!  They even gave me this funny thing called a doggy jacket to keep me warm while I adjust to your climate.  I'm fancy now!

I am a very special rescue, not all dogs that come where I'm from are like me.  You see, I have not had the best life and lacked medical care and proper nutrition resulting in skin infections and me generally not feeling great.  Lab Rescue is working hard to get me feeling and looking my best and will continue to support me with my new family while I get sorted.  I have many scars that each tell a story about my past, one you will never really know.  My fur is patchy and my muscles are weak, but my tail still wags and my eyes don't lie....there is hope now.

My ideal home would be QUIET without other dogs or cats and no kids under 16 years old please, oh and a fully fenced yard!  I'm the sweetest, friendliest girl with soulful eyes full of hope for a fresh start in this new world and someone to love me to pieces.  My new family will need to go slow with me as I am shy and uncertain of new things, help me build my confidence and have patience while I learn new skills.  I am looking for that a family who truly understands what it means to rescue.

UPDATE:  Lora came into our care with skin issues which are now well under control.  Although the medication is working, her skin still needs time to heal and she is on the right track.
