My name is Lucky, and I suit my name perfectly as I am lucky to be with the folks at Lab Rescue. See my owner recently passed away which left me with no place to go except a shelter. The nice people there knew Lab Rescue could help find me a permanent home, so here I am.
Medically, I do have trouble seeing, but more specifically at night. Because of this my foster mom ensures that she leaves some lights on at night to help me get around without me feeling scared. I won't do stairs in the dark when I can't see well, and would do best in a home with limited stairs.
I am a perfect gentlemen in the house. I am fairly quiet, and my foster mom has only heard me bark once. It wasn't even in the house it was at the vet. I do not counter surf or have any naughty behaviours. I am not much for toys and would rather be loved by my humans instead.
He walks like a dream, very easy to manage. My 76 year old in-laws have walked him no problem as well as my 13 year old niece. He has excellent manners in the house, does not get into anything, food or otherwise.
Lucky is very calm in the house and while walking. He’s a gentle giant and takes treats very gently.
He is super sweet & lovable. He still doesn’t gobble his food quickly like most labs but he’s doing better with his food.
