Hi Friends,

My name is Nala and I'm 9 years old. I've come to Lab Rescue by no fault of my own. My family lacked the resources to care for me after the separation and my health deteriorated quickly. Thank goodness they thought to contact Lab Rescue. I'm now settling into my foster home while I receive medication to feel my best.

I'm the sweetest soul you will ever know. Just look into my eyes and you will see the sad times of my past but worry not, as I have not given up hope. Even in my most uncomfortable state, I still mustered the will to wiggle my tail for my rescuers. I'm a quiet girl who enjoys a comfy spot on the couch for cuddles. I've lived with another large dog and even met a cat or two and that was fine. I'm good with children, though older ones are my preference. I love going to sniffs, I mean walks, and I'm pretty good on the leash after the initial excitement. I like to splash in water but I haven't had the chance to swim. I'm great in the car, even for long trips, I just nap or take in the scenes.

My perfect family would be one that has a heart of gold just like me. My needs are simple; I need some tender love and care medically to sort some skin issues, a few walks every day, a cuddle buddy and a soft place to lay my head at night. There is a chance that I will need to stay on medication long term to control some skin sensitivities but that is yet to be confirmed. I will make a great addition to a family who is looking for a laid back, moderate-energy girl who just wants to love and be loved.
