Hi Lab Rescue Friends!
My name is Raven and I am 12 years old although you would never know it. Although I may be considered a senior my foster parents say I act more like a 2 year old girl. Always full of love and affection with everyone I meet.
My story is a little sad...I was surrendered to a shelter, and was severely underweight. Nearly half the weight I was supposed to be. The shelter contacted the Lab Rescue crew and they knew they wanted to help.
In my foster home I have been thriving. When I first arrived being so stressed and underweight I had a few accidents in the house but I am eating three times a day, gaining weight, and no longer having accidents. I am able to go up the stairs no problem but sometimes am a bit stiff coming down. My foster mom says my energy level seems to have increased in the 5 days that I have been with them. I love my walks and although I don't really play fetch I quite enjoy sniffing around the yard and even love following her around the house.
I have been told that I have quite the manners. I do not beg at the table, whine, or bark. I love any type of affection whether it be getting brushed, patted, hugged or kissed, I will take whatever I can get.
On walks, I walk well on my EZ harness. I get quite excited to meet new people and dogs. I can act shy at first but once I know all is okay my tail starts wagging and I am very puppy like.
I am great in the car and enjoy it. I will try and get in the front seat but will listen if you tell me to get into the back.
Do not let my age worry you, I am full of so much love and life. I know I can give a family the best companionship.
