Benny

Benny here!  You can call me “Ben Ben, Benny-Boo, or Good boy”.  I’ve been hearing the last one a lot lately as I dazzled my way to the hearts of everyone I’ve met. I was a super good boy at my vet appointment too a by the way the doc said I’m an overall healthy, happy boy.

I’m a star in the house and even do “place” where I hang out on my bed while you eat dinner. I don’t mooch and I wait until you release me. Pretty impressive, eh!?!  I sleep the whole night snuggled up on my blanket or dog bed right beside yours. I enjoy a comfy spot on the couch when you say it’s okay and I promise to never let you be cold again.

I love playing in my backyard and going for walks. I’m excited when I see other dogs on my walk and haven’t met any yet. We’re working on my leash skills first and overall basics before I dive into the social scene. I think a training class would be a fun spot to do both and hope my new family will take me.

I haven’t met a cat and though those squirrels and rabbits in the yard interest me, they aren’t intriguing enough to chase. I’m more interested in my people.

I’m very much a people-dog and make fast friends with everyone. I take treats gently and though I may not know exactly what you’re asking of me, I try really hard to focus and make eye contact when you speak…. I know there’s a treat coming. Boy do I ever love my treats!
