Meet Anya 💛

Anya is a beautiful, petite 3½-year-old girl weighing about 55 pounds. She rides well in the car, and while her compatibility with cats is currently unknown, she’s settling in wonderfully at her foster home.

Anya was initially a bit quiet, but with time and patience she’s really starting to blossom. She would do best with a family who is happy to go slow, gently show her the world, and let her confidence grow at her own pace. As she comes out of her shell, her smile is absolutely infectious.

She’s enjoying her daily walks, taking in her surroundings, and engaging with quiet curiosity. Anya is inquisitive, sweet, and truly a hidden gem just waiting to shine.

This special girl is very much looking forward to meeting her forever family, could that be you? 🐾

Foster Update: Anya

Anya is continuing to settle in and is steadily coming out of her shell. With each new experience, she’s showing that the more exposure she has, the braver she becomes in her surroundings. Everything in her world still feels new and interesting, and she’s meeting it head-on while gradually building her confidence.

She is very sweet, enjoys being near her people, and is learning that her environment is a safe and comfortable place. As she gains more experience, we’re already seeing glimpses of the dog she’s meant to be, and it’s clear she will continue to blossom with time, patience, and reassurance.

Anya has excellent house manners and is calm in the home. She sleeps through the night and is content to rest until morning, then happily gets up for walks, which remain her favourite part of the day. Walks are when she appears most confident, taking in the world with curiosity and growing assurance.

Her exposure so far has been intentionally limited to allow for decompression, but even within this small circle, she’s making steady and meaningful progress. We believe that continued gentle exposure and a calm, supportive home will allow Anya’s confidence to flourish. She’s well on her way to becoming a wonderful companion and will be a truly special addition to the right family as she continues to blossom.
