Hi there!
I’m Bear. I’m eleven years young, with a sugar coated muzzle, a calm soul, and a whole lot of love to give. I’ve learned a few things in my years and the biggest one is this: Life is best when it’s slow, kind, and shared with someone who enjoys the little moments as much as I do.
I’m looking for a quiet, adult only home where I can finally hang up my leash and truly settle in. I still enjoy getting out for a few relaxed neighbourhood walks each day and I’m very polite on leash. I’ll happily help you get your steps in at my pace. Long hikes are behind me, but sniffing the air, feeling the sun, and strolling in the sunshine are still some of my favourite things.
When we meet new people, I’m friendly and well mannered, just a little thoughtful at first. I like calm hellos and the space and grace to come to you. I’m respectful when I see other dogs on walks, though I prefer they keep their manners too. Pushy dogs aren’t really my style, and I’d definitely chase a cat if I could, so I’d love to be your one and only. I promise I make that role very easy.
At home, I’m a dream. I have excellent house manners, I’ll let you know when I need to go outside, and I’m perfectly content napping nearby while you go about your day. At night, I sleep peacefully and love being close. I always wait for an invitation before hopping on the couch because a gentleman has standards.
Once I know you, I’m all in. Belly rubs are my love language. Gentle scratches, cuddles, and quiet time together make me so happy. I’ll even give you the softest little kisses when I’m feeling extra comfortable.
I’m a smart guy too and I know all my basic commands.
I still enjoy enrichment and using my nose, whether I’m sniffing around the yard, nudging a squeaky toy, or checking out new scents. One of my favourite things is simply lounging outside, feeling the breeze, and being part of the peaceful rhythm of home life.
If you’re looking to make a difference for a golden soul; be that safe, cozy landing place and loving surround for a sweet senior, I’d really love to meet you. I’m Bear, and I’m ready to spend my golden years by your side.
Love Bear
