Bruce joined our rescue through one of our shelter partners. Since arriving in foster care, he has quickly shown everyone what a special boy he is. Hi friends,

I'm Bruce, and if there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I absolutely love being with my people.

I’m the kind of dog who quietly becomes part of your world before you even realize it. Whether you're working from home, relaxing on the couch, enjoying a sunny afternoon outside, or heading out for a walk, I'm happiest simply being by your side. My foster family says I have a way of making myself right at home, and honestly, I think that's because being part of a family is my favourite thing.

I’ve settled beautifully into foster care and have quickly adapted to the daily routine. I have wonderful house manners and am a very easy companion to live with. If my foster is busy working, I’m perfectly content to relax nearby and keep them company. If it’s time for a walk, I’m ready to join in. And when the day slows down, you’ll usually find me curled up beside my people, enjoying some well-earned relaxation.

One of my favourite activities is simply spending quality time with the people I love. I’m incredibly affectionate and always happy to soak up attention. Whether it’s gentle pets, belly rubs, cuddling on the couch, or just sitting together, I truly cherish those moments of connection. My big soulful eyes have become somewhat famous around my foster home because apparently they're very hard to say no to.

I also enjoy learning and spending time engaging with my people. Training sessions are especially fun when treats are involved. Recently, my foster family practiced some recall games with me, calling me back and forth between them. I happily ran from person to person with my tail wagging the entire time, thrilled to be part of the game and even happier when a tasty reward followed.

I’m also a wonderful companion for outings. Whether it's joining you for a walk around the neighbourhood, relaxing on a restaurant patio during the summer, or simply spending time together outdoors, I love being included and sharing experiences with my people.

What makes me happiest isn't any one activity - it's the opportunity to do life alongside the people I love. I thrive on companionship, connection, and being part of a family. I’m loyal, affectionate, gentle, and always ready to offer comfort, companionship, and plenty of cuddles.
