Hi everyone, I’m Buddy!

I’m an 8.5-year-old boy with a big heart, a playful spirit, and so much love to give. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who wants nothing more than to be by your side, I might just be your perfect match.

I love people, affection, and once I get to know you, I form deep bonds with my family. One of my favourite things is leaning against my people while they scratch my ears or rub my back. If you stop too soon, don’t be surprised if I gently paw at you to remind you that I’m not quite finished soaking up all that love!

While I enjoy relaxing on the couch and spending quality time with my family, I still have good energy for an older gentleman. I love my daily walks, exploring the neighbourhood, and stopping to investigate all the interesting smells along the way. I walk well on leash overall, though I may occasionally pull toward something that catches my attention. Once I've had a chance to check things out, I settle back into a nice walking rhythm.

I also enjoy playing with balls and toys. I might not chase them for hours like a young pup, but I still have a playful side that shines through. For me, it's all about having fun and spending time with my people.

Car rides are another favourite of mine. I happily hop in with a little encouragement and love sticking my nose out the window to feel the breeze on my face. Nothing makes me smile quite like an adventure with my favourite humans.

As I enter this new stage of my life, I’m looking for a family that understands that change can take time. I’m hoping to find patient, caring people who will help me feel loved, supported, and secure as I settle into my new home. In return, I promise to give you my whole heart.

My ideal family will enjoy spending time together, taking me on walks, sharing lots of affection, and letting me be part of their everyday lives. I don't need anything fancy - just love, companionship, and a place where I belong.
