Meet Cindy – a joyful, well-mannered girl with a big heart and playful soul
Cindy is almost 6 years old and truly a delight to have around. She has excellent house manners—no counter surfing, no begging—just polite enthusiasm and a toy (squeaky ones are her favourite) to welcome you home. She has a calm, respectful demeanour paired with A+ cuddling skills and will happily curl up beside you for quality couch time. A fun quirk? Cindy genuinely enjoys watching the Cooking Channel and will pause whatever she’s doing to watch the screen, it’s as adorable as it sounds.
She bonds quickly with new people and greets houseguests with full-body wiggles and pure joy before settling in comfortably for the visit. Affection is her love language, and she’s always ready for snuggles, especially at the end of the day.
Cindy has a playful, happy personality and absolutely loves spending time with her people. Fetch is one of her favourite games, and she can happily entertain herself in the backyard tossing and chasing her ball. Her joyful spirit makes her a constant source of smiles and laughter.
An outdoor enthusiast at heart, Cindy thrives outside. She enjoys sniffing around the yard, keeping a watchful eye out for squirrels, and taking her critter patrol duties seriously, while still finding plenty of time to lounge on the deck with one eye open. In winter, she makes snow angels; in warmer months, she practices gymnastic-style tumbles in the grass. Even a twig dancing in the wind can turn into a puppy-like moment of wonder and play.
Walks are a highlight of her day. Cindy waits patiently while you put on her harness and enjoys an upbeat walking pace with frequent check-ins from her handler. She’s been walked multiple times a day, including longer structured walks with a dog walker who has focused on engagement, focus, and redirection using cues like “look” followed by positive reinforcement. This type of engaged walking has been incredibly beneficial for Cindy’s mental and physical stimulation, and her leash skills are very good when these techniques are used. Continued consistency with this approach is recommended, and more guidance can be provided.
Cindy is a smart, trainable girl who knows several commands. She’ll thrive in a happy home and a famiy to continue the positive, reward-based techniques she already understands.
Sweet, expressive, affectionate, and full of joy, Cindy is ready to bring warmth, fun, and companionship to a forever home that appreciates both her playful energy and her love of calm connection.
