Duke is a big-hearted boy with a calm, affectionate, and loyal nature. He’s the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be close to his people, happy to join you on life’s adventures or simply lounge by your side at home. With his gentle eyes, expressive face, and signature Lab smile, Duke has a way of melting hearts wherever he goes.

Now settling beautifully into his foster home, Duke’s loving personality continues to shine. He’s shown excellent house manners. Fully house trained, respectful of furniture, and always eager to please. He lets you know when he needs to go outside with a sweet nudge of your hand, a quiet reminder of how gently and lovingly he communicates.

Duke enjoys the company of his foster family’s other Lab and the two have quickly become friends. They’ve shared space peacefully and even sleeping side by side at night. He’s also met the resident cat and remained calm and curious, showing how well he adapts to new friends and environments.

He’s happiest when he can be near his people and loves following his foster family around the house, always wanting to be part of whatever’s going on. Duke is described as an incredibly gentle dog and an easy companion who brings comfort and calm wherever he goes.

On walks, Duke is a dream. He walks beautifully on leash and stays close, checking in often. He enjoys exploring, greeting people politely, and watching the world go by. His foster family calls him “the easiest dog to walk”.

Duke knows his basic commands like sit, come, lay down, and paw, and he takes treats gently with the same softhearted nature that defines him. He’s a happy, affectionate dog who thrives on love, reassurance, and togetherness.
