FULL BIO

Hi friends, I’m Gabby.

If I had to describe myself, I’d say I’m a sweet, gentle, and sensitive girl who is discovering just how wonderful the world can be. Since arriving in foster care, I’ve been learning that new experiences aren’t so scary when you have kind people beside you. Every day I’m growing a little more confident, and it feels really good to start understanding the world around me.

I’m the kind of girl who loves being close to her people. I really enjoy connection, whether that’s quietly hanging out together, going on a walk, or simply sharing space. I’m affectionate in a soft, gentle way and love leaning into the people I trust.

I am a curious girl at heart. Sometimes new sounds or unfamiliar things might make me pause, but instead of backing away, I tend to lean forward and investigate. My foster family says it’s lovely to watch me process the world - I might take a moment, but then my curiosity kicks in and I want to figure things out. With reassurance and patience, I continue to grow braver every day.

Walks and outdoor adventures are becoming some of my favourite things. As soon as I see my harness, I get excited and happily come over and sit, ready to go. I really enjoy sniffing, exploring, and taking in everything around me at my own pace. I recently went on a hiking adventure and absolutely loved it. There were so many new scents and sounds, and I had the best time taking it all in.

I’m also a fantastic car passenger. I settle in nicely and enjoy being part of the journey, whether it’s a big adventure or just a quick outing. I like being included in whatever my people are doing.

I really enjoy learning and engaging with my people. I have great eye contact and am eager to please. I respond beautifully to kindness, encouragement, and consistency, and I love when training feels like a fun game we do together. I’m a smart girl who is always trying to understand what is being asked of me.

Like many young dogs, I’m still figuring some things out, but I am trying my very best. Confidence isn’t something that happens overnight for me - it grows through patience, routine, and positive experiences. Having a family who understands that and celebrates my progress will help me continue to blossom into my best self.

I can’t wait to find my forever family that will celebrate my progress and provide me with lots of love and adventure! In return, I’ll be your loyal companion, your little shadow, your walking buddy, and your gentle best friend.
