Hi, I’m Harley!

I’m an energetic, affectionate guy with a big personality and an even bigger love for my people. I thrive on being part of everyday life and feel happiest when I have structure, activity, and human connection.

I’m a smart boy and I know all my basic commands. I’m very responsive and have great recall, especially in places I know well. I love having a job to do and really enjoy activities that challenge both my body and my brain. Give me something to focus on and I’m all in.

The outdoors is my happy place. I love trail walks in warmer weather, exploring safely within boundaries, and most of all, playing fetch! Land or water, I don’t mind, as long as I get to run and retrieve. Swimming is a favourite, especially when there’s something to chase. I can go and go until you decide it’s time to stop. Squeaky toys are great fun too, though I might get a little enthusiastic with them.

On leash, I may start out excited, but I settle quickly and respond well to with gentle guidance. I can get distracted by interesting sights and sounds, but I’m easy to redirect and eager to please.

At home, I’m a total love. I enjoy lounging on the couch, cuddling up close, giving kisses, and just being near my people. I can be a little enthusiastic when meeting new folks at first, but once I settle in, I’m friendly, happy, and ready to make a new friend. I appreciate calm, respectful introductions and do best in a relaxed environment.

I'd love to make canine friends in my new home for playdates but maybe not as roommates.  I even do well with livestock and horses.

My ideal home?
An active, loving household that enjoys adventure, structure, and quality time together. I’m loyal, playful, and full of heart and I’m ready to be someone’s best friend.
