Hi Friends!

Joe Here! I believe life is best enjoyed at a nice, relaxed pace, some might call “moderate energy”. I still have great mobility and energy for walks and play but through a more refined lens. I’m a young senior that’s figured out what really matters. Good company. Cozy naps. Belly rubs. A nice walk. Maybe a snack or two. That’s a pretty perfect day if you ask me.

People always notice my size first, but it never takes long before they realize I’m just one big softie. My foster family says I’m one of the easiest dogs they’ve had around. I settle into the house like I’ve always belonged there, and I’m happiest just being close to my people. You’ll often find me leaning against your leg while you watch TV or quietly following you from room to room just because I like knowing we’re together.

I should probably warn you about my love of belly rubs. If I think there’s even the slightest chance one is coming, I’ll start wiggling before you’ve even reached me. I simply can’t help myself.

Treat time is another one of my specialties. I proudly sit, take a few careful little steps backward, then slowly ease myself down with my famous “beep, beep, beep” parking maneuver. Apparently it’s hilarious. I like making people laugh, so I keep doing it.

I’m a wonderful walking buddy too. Nice and easy, no pulling, no rushing, just happy to be out enjoying the fresh air with you. Other dogs don’t bother me. I might take a quick look, then I’m ready to carry on with our walk. I also hop into the car like a pro, settle in for the ride, and take vet visits without making a fuss.

The truth is, I’m a pretty low maintenance guy. I don’t need constant entertainment or endless excitement. Give me a soft bed, a few strolls around the neighbourhood, plenty of affection, and someone to love, and I’ll be the happiest dog around.

I have so much love left to give and I’m ready to share it with a family who will appreciate all the little things that make me, well… me. I’ll fill your home with quiet companionship, gentle kisses, the occasional goofy parking job, and the comforting feeling that your very best friend is always nearby.

I think the best years aren’t behind me. I have a feeling they’re still waiting for us.
