Meet Kahlúa!

Hi everyone, I’m Kahlúa! 

Although, around here I also go by Lulu and I’ll respond to just about anything, usually with a very happy tail wag!

I’m a young, happy, super-friendly guy who is pretty convinced that everyone I meet is about to become my new best friend. Kids? Love them. Adults? Love them. Cats? Yep, I’m good with them too! I’m basically a big cuddly teddy bear with a playful side and a whole lot of enthusiasm for life.

I’m a smart boy too! I know my basic commands and have some pretty impressive tricks up my sleeve. I can spin around, shake a paw and even give you a kiss. My recall is pretty good too, although sometimes my excitement gets the better of me, so continuing to practise all my skills will be important.

Now, let’s talk about WALKIES!

The second I realize we’re going somewhere, I get VERY excited. And if I happen to spot another dog while we’re out? Well, obviously I want to go over and say hello! I’m still working on keeping all that enthusiasm under control and polishing up my leash manners. I can sometimes jump up to greet people too, but we’re working on that. What can I say? I’m just really, really happy to see you!

One of my absolute favourite things in the world is FETCH! Inside, outside,  I’m not picky. Throw the ball and I’m off! I’ll chase it, bring it back and usually even drop it for you. But every now and then I have a much better idea: I’ll wait until you try to grab it and then RUN! Apparently making you chase me is also a game, and personally, I think it’s hilarious.

I have an average exercise level, so I enjoy getting out, playing and having some fun, but I’m also very good at the important stuff,  like cuddling. At the end of the day, I’ll settle down and sleep right through the night on my own comfy little bed.

Car rides? Absolutely! I love hopping in and heading out for an adventure.

I’m also a big fan of treats, and I have excellent taste if I do say so myself. Greek yogurt, cheese, sweet potato, pumpkin seeds and even a little pizza crust are all winners. Fruit? Nope! You can keep that for now.

Really, I’m just a fun, goofy, affectionate young guy who loves being part of everything. I want to play, explore, cuddle, make friends and enjoy life with my people.

If you’re looking for a happy-go-lucky best buddy with teddy-bear charm, a playful personality and a tail that’s always ready for the next adventure, I might just be your guy.
