Hi friends, I'm Nome!

If you're looking for a happy, easygoing companion who's always ready to join in on the fun, I think we should meet! I'm a sweet 6-year-old girl with a joyful personality, and nothing makes me happier than spending time with my people and making new friends along the way.

I’m known for my “happy nome stomps” as my friends like to stay as a love to tap my feet on the ground when you say my name and give me scratches. My eyes light up with joy and excitement when I get to be with my people, showing off all the love I have to give. Oh and did I mention how much I love treats? They are my absolute favourite thing. I was a star at my recent vet visit as all I cared about was all the treats I was getting which made everyone laugh.

One of my favourite things is getting outside for an adventure. Whether we're heading out for a neighbourhood stroll, playing a game of fetch, or spending the day by the water, I'm always ready to go. If there's a chance to go for a swim, even better! Splashing around in the water is one of my favourite ways to spend a sunny day.

I'm also quite the social butterfly. I absolutely love to meet people and when I see someone I know, I get so excited that I sometimes pop up to say hello and ask for a hug before happily wagging my tail and soaking up all the attention. I'm wonderful with children and have spent time with kids as young as five years old.

I'm just as friendly with other dogs as I am with people. Running around with my canine friends, playing chase, and enjoying a good game together always puts a smile on my face. Whether I'm sharing my home with another playful pup or meeting friends out on a walk, I'm happiest when I have company.

I have good house manners and I know my basic commands, happily showing off my sit skills for a treat. I walk well on leash and I have a reliable recall, making outdoor adventures even more enjoyable, and I'm always happy to listen when my people ask me to do something. I also ride wonderfully in the car, usually sitting while watching the world go by. If the windows are down so I can feel the breeze, that's just the icing on the cake!

More than anything, I'm looking for a family to share life's adventures with. Whether we're exploring a new trail, tossing a ball around the backyard, heading out for a drive, or simply relaxing together after a fun day, I'll be right by your side with a wagging tail and a happy heart.
