Hi everyone, my name is Piper!

I’m 5.5 year old happy, smiley girl with a tail that’s constantly wagging, and I’ve got a whole love of love to give! I’m the kind of girl who wakes up excited for the day and wants to be involved in everything my people are doing. Whether it’s going for walks, playing fetch, meeting new friends, exploring outside, or curling up for cuddles, I put my whole heart into it. I have a joyful personality that’s contagious and I especially love when I make you feel the same joy.

One thing you should know about me is that I absolutely adore people. When visitors come over or when I meet people on walks, I get really excited to say hello. My tail starts wagging at lightning speed, my whole body wiggles, and sometimes I get a little jumpy because I just can’t contain how happy I am.

I’m great with kids and have lived happily with cats too. I’m a very social girl who enjoys being part of the action and spending time with my family. I also get excited to meet other dogs and love making new friends. I’ll thrive with a family that can continue to help me shine by helping me learn more and continue to grow in confidence through positive reinforcement, structure, and consistency. I’m eager to please and really enjoy learning with my people.

I already know “sit” and “shake a paw,” and my recall is very good. On walks, I can pull for the first few minutes because I’m just so excited to get outside and explore all the sights and smells. Once I settle in and get moving, I walk nicely.

Something else you should know… fetch is my favorite thing in the world! Seriously, I could play all day if you let me. Balls, sticks, toys,  I’ll chase just about anything and proudly bring it back. Well… mostly bring it back. Sometimes I like to turn it into a fun game where you chase me while I run around proudly showing off my prize. I also love Kongs stuffed with peanut butter and chewing on my favorite bones. Stuffed toys are fun too, although I usually make it my mission to find every squeaker hiding inside them.

After all the fun and excitement, I’m also a huge cuddle bug. I love being close to my people and soaking up affection. Cuddle time makes me SO happy that my tail starts wagging nonstop and trust me, you’ll definitely notice when that Lab tail gets going! At the end of the day, I’m just a bright, loving girl with a huge heart who can’t wait to meet her people that will include me in their adventures, continue helping me learn and grow, and love me as much as I’ll love them. In return, I promise endless loyalty, laughter, and cuddles every day.
