AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
Hi! I’m Roxie!
I have one very important job in life, and I take it seriously. I make sure my people are never lonely. If you’re in the kitchen, I’m in the kitchen. If you’re in the living room, I’m there too. Bathroom? Yep… I’ll wait outside if you insist on privacy. I just like being where my people are. That’s my favourite place.
My foster family says I’m a really easy girl to live with. I don’t get into trouble, I settle nicely in the house, and I sleep all night without a peep. I live with a senior Lab right now, and we’re good roommates. I know how to be respectful and share my space.
I’m also getting pretty good at meeting new people. There have been lots of strangers coming and going while my foster family does a small Reno and it doesn’t phase me in the slightest. At first I wondered what all the fuss was about, but now I just greet everyone with a happy wag and carry on with my day. More people usually means more chances for someone to tell me I’m pretty, so I don’t mind.
Now… can we talk about WALKS?! I LOVE walks. I try to contain myself when the leash comes out, but it’s hard because adventures are the best! Once we’re out, I’m actually very nice to walk with. My foster taught me that when they say “look,” I should check in with them, and I think that’s a pretty good deal because it usually earns me a tasty snack. If I move to a new home, I’ll probably be busy sniffing every single blade of grass for a little while because, well, that’s what dogs do. But I’m smart, I love learning, and I’m happy to listen.
I already know things like sit, down, wait, come, and look. I hop right into the car because you never know where we’re going, and car rides are exciting. Stairs? No problem. I’ve got those figured out too.
One more thing you should know about me… my tummy is almost always available for belly rubs. If you stop petting me before I’m ready, I’ll probably roll over again just in case you forgot.
I’m looking for a family who wants a best friend, because that’s exactly what I want too. I’ll happily join you on walks, ride along on errands, nap while you work, and be your little shadow wherever life takes you. All I ask is that you love me as much as I’ll love you… and trust me, that’s a whole lot.
Love Roxie
