Hi Friends!

I’m Shelby, a 2 year old chocolate lab with a happy, goofy personality and so much love to give.

I’ve got that classic lab charm, including my signature “lab grin,” and I love the simple things like curling up by the fire or resting my head on my people. I’m just as happy playing a game of fetch as I am settling in for a quiet moment.

I’m great with kids and have a calm, gentle nature around them. I’m comfortable with being pet, hugged, and having toys and activity around me, and I enjoy both playtime and relaxing alongside them. Sometimes I’ll even drop my tennis ball at their feet to keep the fun going. I also have experience living with cats.

Toys are a big part of my day. Tennis balls are my favourite, and I also love a puzzle toy that can be filled with treats. Puzzle games are a great way to keep my mind busy, and since I’m very food motivated, they make learning new things fun for me too.

I already know some basic commands like sit and stay, and I’m working on things like waiting for my food. With the right treats and a bit of encouragement, I’m eager to keep learning and building my skills.

I love spending lots of time playing and exploring, and I would love a home that can give me daily activity, enrichment, and time to be my playful self.

I’m still learning, so I’ll need a family who can guide me with patience, gentle direction, and consistency to help me grow into my best self.

Most of all, I’m a sweet, affectionate girl who loves being close to her people. I can’t wait to find a family to call my own.
