Hi, I’m Tilly!

I’m a four-year-old Labrador with a petite frame and a heart of gold. I’m the type of girl who curls up at the end of the couch, follows my humans from room to room, and sneaks in gentle kisses before I settle for the night. When I’m happy, my whole body wiggles, not just my tail.

I’m very smart and I love learning. Training time makes me light up. I know lots of cues and I listen well, especially when you keep me engaged. If you point to your nose, I’ll look right at you. If you ask me to wait, I’ll hold still. If you need me to leave something alone or drop something, I understand and I follow through. I’m very polite about fetching too. I always bring my toy back and place it right at your feet, ready to go again.

Walking is something I enjoy and I love meeting new people.  I currently use a Halti, but with someone who knows how to keep my brain busy and my attention on them, I can walk nicely without it. I love working with humans who like training and communication. I’m eager, focused, and quick to figure things out.

My favourite activities are swimming, running, and retrieving. I’ll jump into a lake, river, pool, anywhere the water is splashing and I'll even use the step ladder to get out of the pool. Fetching is my absolute passion, and I'm in the zone when the game is on. When we’re done, just clip my leash and I’ll stay close. If I’m off leash, a happy voice or a whistle brings me right back.

I love having a routine.  I’m a very affectionate and loyal girl. I like belly rubs, ear scratches, sleeping near your feet, and greeting you with gentle kisses. I’m confident, curious, energetic, smart, and incredibly loving. And once we bond, I’ll be the happiest girl in the world just being by your side.
