ADOPTED!
Hi there,
I’m Timmy, a handsome 5½-year-old Labrador boy with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. People often say that when they look into my eyes, they can see a happy content boy that is eager to please and a joy to be around. I like to think that makes me a pretty special guy, and I’ve got a whole lot of love just waiting to share with my forever family.
These days I’m enjoying a wonderful balance in life with lots of big cozy naps mixed with long walks and chances to stretch my legs and feel the wind in my fur. I love being outside and would happily join my family on adventures, but I’m just as content curling up beside my people after a fun day.
One of my absolute favourite things is going for car rides. In fact, if you open the car door, I’ll probably try to hop right in, even if you’re just grabbing something! I enjoy watching the world go by with the window cracked open. On longer drives I might get a little whiny near the end, but that’s just me checking in with my people.
I’ve settled nicely into a routine in my foster home. I sleep through the night and usually start my day with a morning walk, followed by breakfast and dinner is always at 6 p.m. sharp and trust me, I’ll politely remind you if you forget!
I’m communicate and I’ll whine to let you know when I need to go outside or when I’d like a little extra attention. When my foster leaves for work in the morning, I may whine for a few minutes, but I’m getting better with the routine and I’m always overjoyed when they return home. A few ear scratches and belly rubs usually do the trick.
I enjoy playing with my squeaky toys, especially if someone will toss them or play a little tug with me. I don’t play much on my own I’d rather share the fun with my people. I’d probably love a good game of fetch too, once I have a safe enclosed space to practice.
I also love making new dog friends and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to share walks and playtime with.
I already know some basic commands like sit and paw, and I’m working on down, stay, and come. My recall still needs practice, so continued training will help me become the very best version of myself.
More than anything, I simply love being close to my people. I tend to stay in the same room as my family and get incredibly excited when they come home. I’m a deeply affectionate boy who thrives on companionship and connection.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s ready for both adventures and quiet cuddles, I might just be your guy. I have a lifetime of love, friendship, and wagging tail greetings waiting for my forever family.
Love,
Timmy
