Hi, I’m Betty

I’m a six year old, a gentle golden retriever who is still discovering all the things the world has to offer. Walks are my favourite part of the day. I am calm and polite on leash, taking in everything around me with quiet curiosity, just a step behind my people.  I enjoy exploring at my own pace and learning new sights and smells.

I’m friendly with people and other dogs, though I can take a beat to warm up at first in new situations. Once I connect, I’m your soulmate for life, foot warmer and cuddle buddy. One of my favourite spots is curled up on my Foster’s lap or snuggled beside them on the couch.

I’m working on my basics like “Betty Come” and really doing well.  My lab foster buddy has been helping show me the ropes which I really like and I may even like a canine sibling in my new home.

I’m looking for a quiet home that will guide me in discovering the world while giving me love and reassurance along the way.  With patience and unconditional love, the sky’s the limit for our happiness together.
