Hello friends! My name is Ellie!

I’m a 5-year-old Golden Retriever with a gentle heart and calm demeanour. I’m the kind of girl who enjoys spending time with my people and enjoying the little moments in life together! My foster says I’m excellent on leash, happily strolling along while I take in all the smells and sights around me. I like to take my time, stopping here and there to appreciate the excitement of exploring new things along the way.

I like knowing where my people are, so I’ll quietly follow you around the house to check in and keep you company. I’m also happy to settle into my dog bed for a nice snooze while you go about your day. Of course, if you’re offering pets, I’ll happily sit nearby and soak them up.

And let’s talk about liver treats. I absolutely love them! I take treats very gently, and they’ve been a great way to help me work on my skills and continue growing my confidence. I’m a smart cookie, too, and I’ve been doing really well learning new cues. My foster family taught me to use their doggy bells to let them know when I need to go outside to potty, and I picked that up really well. I also have good house manners.

I enjoy lying outside in the grass, soaking up the summer breeze with my foster family, and spending time relaxing with my foster’s dog. Oh and I have my silly side too- like when I settle into a deep sleep, I can be quite the little snorer. It’s just part of the Ellie charm!

I’m looking for a forever family who will continue to help me build my confidence, celebrate all the little things I learn, and give me plenty of love and encouragement along the way. In return, I’ll be your gentle, loyal companion who is always happy to be by your side.
