Meet Tintin
Tintin is a happy, affectionate and playful boy with that wonderful, classic Lab personality. Described as a true bundle of joy, he seems to approach life with a wagging tail, plenty of enthusiasm and, quite often, a few slobbery kisses for good measure.
Above all, Tintin is a family-oriented boy who simply wants to be part of everyday life. He loves people, is great with children and enjoys being wherever his family is — joining a movie night, playing fetch in the backyard, heading to the park or simply relaxing nearby.
Tintin has a lovely balance of playful Lab energy and the ability to settle. He enjoys getting outside for his walks, exploring new surroundings and having opportunities to stretch his legs, but after a good outing he is equally happy to come home, lounge around and enjoy some well-earned downtime.
An Adventure Buddy
Walks are definitely one of Tintin’s favourite parts of the day. He would be a wonderful companion for a family that enjoys an active lifestyle and wants a dog to include in their adventures.
Whether it is a neighbourhood walk, exploring a new trail, playing in the backyard or heading out for a bigger adventure, Tintin is happiest when he gets to come along. He walks well on leash, although his excitement may result in a little pulling at the beginning of a walk before he settles into his stride.
Tintin also has experience enjoying safe off-leash time. He loves a great game of fetch and is reported to have good recall, returning when called.
Car rides? Tintin is ready! He hops in and out of the vehicle on his own and has comfortably enjoyed trips of up to two hours.
And there may just be a little water dog waiting to emerge. Tintin has not yet had the opportunity for a full swimming adventure, but when introduced to a kiddie pool he happily dipped in his paws and splashed around. A future trip to a lake or dog-friendly beach might be another adventure for this curious boy to discover.
Life at Home
Tintin has good manners in the home and is not known to be much of a barker. When someone comes to the door, his friendly personality shines through and he is excited to run over and say hello.
He also enjoys the company of other dogs and has experience living with an older Shih Tzu. He has shown that he can happily share his home, activities and daily routine with a canine companion.
Tintin enjoys a routine that provides a nice combination of activity, companionship and downtime. He is accustomed to starting his day around 7–8 a.m. with breakfast and a potty break before heading out for his first walk. His day then includes walks, backyard play, time with his people and opportunities to run around and have some fun, balanced with plenty of time indoors to relax and snooze. After dinner, he is happy to settle in for the evening.
A Smart, Food-Motivated Boy
Tintin is food motivated and loves his treats, which makes positive-reinforcement training a fun way to provide enrichment, reinforce good manners and continue building his skills.
He already knows sit, wait and stay, along with waiting for his cue to eat at mealtimes. Continuing his training through positive reinforcement will help keep this smart boy engaged while strengthening the bond with his new family.
Tintin is currently eating Authority Chicken & Rice kibble.
Tintin’s New Family
Tintin has such a wonderful combination of affection, playful energy, curiosity and companionship. He is happiest when his day includes time outside, something fun to do and, most importantly, people to share it with.
Whether he is heading out for a morning walk, playing fetch in the backyard, exploring somewhere new, splashing his paws in a kiddie pool or simply relaxing inside after a busy day, Tintin is ready to make the most of life.
This handsome boy is looking for a family who will make him a true member of the family and give him plenty of opportunities to walk, explore, play and enjoy new adventures. In return, Tintin is ready to bring his joyful personality, enthusiastic kisses and wonderful companionship into their lives.
If you are looking for a joyful, affectionate Lab who wants to be included in family life and is ready to share walks, adventures, playtime and quiet evenings at home, Tintin may be the wonderful companion you have been waiting for.
