Hi there, I'm Simon…I see you looking at me!! I'm coming to Lab Rescue because of a change in my family's schedule.

I must confess I’m a big boy and forget sometimes how big I am! I know all the basics like sit, stay and wait. I'm well-mannered in the house and when you're out I will lounge and nap until you get home. I’m super smart and would love to try that thing on Amazon I see called a “snuffle mat”, wow that looks like the perfect challenge for me!

Did I just hear you ask who wants to go for a walk??? Now you’re speaking my language!! Walks rule, my favourite time of the day! I usually go for a few walks during the day where I like to get caught up on my social media — in human terms that’s catching up on all the smells and people in the ‘hood, and woofing with my doggie friends! I’m a social butterfly who gets so excited to get out there that sometimes I pull a bit at first. But with the proper human guidance and tools, I could “perfect” my technique. Chasing after my ball is my favourite back yard activity. Notice how I didn’t call it “play fetch”?? I must confess, I need a little work on the “retrieving” part!

I have dabbled my paws in the lake and waded, but haven’t had the full body experience yet, and I can’t wait to get in there! Maybe we can get our bathing suits on and go for a dip together?

I'm a big mushy guy who loves cuddle time, so be sure to save me a spot on the couch! Netflix and a movie work for me if you need a date.

​

I’m a big softie who has so much to offer my new family, other than my good looks! A strong, confident handler who understands my behaviour and is willing to work with me so we can bring out the “best” in me would be ideal. And if you like long walks, hiking and swimming, that would be a dream for me, and after all that a big cuddle! How does that sound?
